Science weekly update:

September 17th

 In Science We leared about why we do science experiments.

Purpose  - What do you want to find out

Hypothisis - What is your prediction.

Procedure & materials - What do you need for materials and how are we going to do this experiment.

Data Collection - Oserve and write or tell what you learned. 

Conclusion - What did you discover to answer your question - is it true or false?

This week we did rocket popcorn

The children voted about what they wanted to learn about and they were interested in bubbles.

Our first experiment with bubbles was "Rocket Popcorn"

What happens when popcorn is placed on the bottom of a jar and water is added, then what happens when vinegar is added, then baking soda.  The children will observe what happens and will see carbon dioxide bubbles form.  When these two substances are combined we had a chemical reaction. We will talk about carbon dioxide bubbles are also found in soda pop.
